Instagram Introduces Fun New Photo Cut-Out Stickers for Your Pictures

Instagram is giving its stickers a new look, and it’s all about cutting things from your photos.

This helpful new tool lets you select stuff in your pictures and trim them out. Then, you can use them as stickers in your Stories and Reels.

It’s a bit like what Apple did in iOS 16, where you can separate an object from a photo and use it as a sticker in your messages and emails.

Now, it’s not the most original idea, but let’s face it, Meta (the parent company) isn’t known for being groundbreaking. Still, making stickers for Instagram is pretty useful.

And here’s the interesting part: Instagram’s chief, Adam Mosseri, says you can trim stickers not just from your camera roll but also from “suitable pics you spot on Instagram.” Yep, that means public pictures. Right now, there’s no way to choose not to have your pics trimmed, but who knows, they might add it if this new feature gets popular.

For now, Instagram’s testing this trim-and-use thing with a select group of users. Exciting stuff!
